i am partial to simonich gunners. i just sand down the tops of the ridges until it suits me. but to put things into proper perspective, EVERY one of my 1911's have a checkered frontstrap.

    +1 on Gunner Grips.

I have a pair on my SW1911 and really like the aggressive pattern.

Simonich Gunner Grips - not abrasive surface and not slippery, great grips.
I haven't found that to be true on mine. Obviously, YMMV.

    Love my Lazza grips.

Larry Davidson makes these. G10 material. I no longer have the guns but I have the grips
I prefer my thin TRS grips that came on it or id slap a set of these on.

Would you mind putting one of these grips on your TRS and take a pic? I'm wondering how much of these grips would cover up the ugly checkering of my TRS...

Am I the only one that wishes VZ did more patterns in Canvas?
I would love some Operator IIs in Canvas

I currently have G10, but ordered some Canvas Aliens to try out (when my DW gets back from the smith )

I like canvas grips as well.

The lazza grips won't cover the trs checkering that far if your trying to hide the staggered stopping points.
