    Latest LTW raffle is on!

The range is hot-- LTW's latest raffle is up and running. The beneficiary for this one is AmericanSnipers.org-- an outfit close to all of our hearts, I'm sure. Being raffled is a custom 1911, and much more. The whole package is put together with a sniper theme-- the pistol is a hard-knocks duty gun that is making the rounds through some of the LTW shops. It started out at Stan Chen's, then went to Chuck Rogers, then to Don Williams, and is currently at my shop. From here it goes to Yost-Bonitz..... it'll be quite the sniper's companion.

The package also includes ammo, cleaning and maintenance gear, classes (if the winner is police/mil), Leupold 10X50 tactical binos, duty rig from Safariland, custom leather from Alex Nossar, a Starlight case, a rifle rest from CenterMass... you get the picture: a package put together as if it were going to be shipped to one of AmericanSnipers.org's own.

Tickets are up for sale now at
    http://www.pistolraffle.com

This just went up and there are still maybe a few typos and bugs-- for one, it says the tickets are $25, they're not-- they are $10. Until this gets fixed, if you by "a ticket" for $25, you'll actually get three-- consider it an early bird bonus.

Drawing will be during SHOT 08 (Feb. 8)!

Thanks for the heads up on this raffle! There's going to be a very lucky winner somewhere.

    Hey MODS-
Shouldn't Ned be listed as an "Industry Professional"? He is very well known and respected in our circles.

    My pleasure, Kisara.

Let me just throw out a few of the companies that are helping us out on all this.

Firstly, Springfield Armory for donating the pistol, a Mil-Spec put together with some special attention in the Custom Shop.

Brownell's for, well, everything not listed below. I don't know when I've dealt with a straighter-shooting, more service oriented company.

VZ Grips, for some specials grips just for this project.

Wilson Combat and EGW for some premium component parts.

BarSto for one of their excellent barrels.

That is a not-all-inclusive list.... more later. But that's just the gun. Here's a not-all-inclusive list of some of the accoutrements and accessories:
-Leupold 10X50 tactical binocs. At this point I'm not really sure if they are direct from Leupold or FNH-- they came to me from FNH.

    -Duty gear from Safariland.

-Custom concealment leather from Alex Nossar of Peru.

    -A hard case from Starlight.

-A case o' ammo from Black Hills.

-A whole series of pistol classes from Strike Tactical (if the winner is LE or military)

    -A knife from Chris Reeve

    -Magazines from Tripp Research

Can we buy the raffle tickets and the donate the package to one of our people being deployed? Would rather see it end up in hands that might have urgent need of it than have it here. What are the rules of transfer?
ETA: Just got done looking at the 4TC1's progress thus far. I am even more convinced that I want this to be put into a sniper's hands if I win. PM me with an answer at your convenience. Will be on board no matter what. Great cause!
