Hi. This is my first post & just thought I'd add my $.02 to the Beyond 5.56 catagory. I have a M&P 15X that I finally got outfitted to where I'm satisfied with it, but wanted something with a bit more oomph.

Last week I added a DPMS 7.62X51 Oracle to the stable. After degreasing & re-lubing with some TW25B, I mounted a Leupold Vari-X III in a Wilson Combat mount on it & went to the range.

I bought 2 boxes of American Eagle 7.62 168gr to try it out, because I don't have any .308 loaded yet. I used 10 rounds at the 50 yd target for familiarization & zeroing the scope, then moved to the 100yd target.

I'm never very good the first time out with a new gun, but including 2 flyers, which I called, it shot a 3" ten round group. (Three shot groups don't mean anything to me.) Take away the flyers & the group shrinks to 1.5".

With a little more trigger time & some good reloads, I hope to get it down to sub MOA.
