The main reason I can think of is because one day you may want to go bang with your weapon and it goes click or snap. Then you'll be screwed. Why cut corners when the difference is not that much and your life could be at stake?

    Hello,

When one considers the fact that a Genuine COLT Hammer & Trigger costs more than most of these other-makers complete lower parts kits they should be able too easily understand that these other off-brands are substandard and are being made to very loose specs.

I actually happen to be a machinist and know first hand what's involved in producing high-quality, close tolerance parts and these so called "just as good as" guys aren't doing it.

Take a couple of complete sets of COLT Parts and a couple of complete sets of the other makers parts into an inspection room using high quality micrometers, calipers, pin gages, height gages, radius gages, hardness testers, surface gages and comparator machines and examine both sets of parts and see what you have with these off-brands when comparing them to COLT.

I'd rather beat a bad guy to death with my Browning High Power, than shoot him dead with a plastic pistol.

    You are correct.

There is only ONE mil-spec LPK out there and that is Colt's. Everything else is below their's.

Personally I rate LPK's in this order:

    Colt
    LMT
    BCM/G&R

Paul at BCM uses very good parts in his lowers IMHO.

We appreciate everyones feedback on our LPK's and glad you like them. We put a lot of work into them and I must admist that they are PITA to keep up with.

In the future, expect to see some new LPK's (comprised manily of Colt parts) from us (at reasonable prices).

You are obviously a Colt fanboy and elitist.

That being said, I have not run this carbine particularly hard yet. I have about the same round count on mine as well. I actually am thinking about just getting one of Grant's LPKs and calling it a day. I hear these are very good quality.
theres no reason to replace your Armalite LPK. you wont have a problem with it.

what other LPKs did you compare to. Yes you cant go wrong with Colt but I beleave there are other LPKs out there Just as good or better. There are many ARs out there that have lasted just as long as Colts.
