I would like to see this happen. After seeing some of your photos Stickman and a few that have popped up online I started talking with my brother about this setup. We both have BCM mid-length carbines. I have done a EAG and a Vickers' Tactical class with mine and have used it for many matches and there is not much I would change on it. It is set up almost exactly like the EAG BCM rifle to give you an idea of what it is.

*Some of this is going to echo what others have already brought up.

I no longer use a VFG and so there is only a light and my sling on the rail (I doubt I am going to hit the lottery and get a dbal on there). It is nice having the barrel free floated, but this is not necessary. A set of handguards is more affordable too. I also find myself gripping the rails right behind the front sight base and I would like to have the option to reach out further. This and setting my light where I want it could be accomplished with rifle length handguards. I don't like folding front sights, so a pinned front sight base is my preference and it is good to see that the micro gas block is pinned too.

    I am all for it.

Okay I am going to pull the trigger on a BCM blemished lower and stash it to wait for some funds to buy a new upper. Any idea when this might happen?

So any word stickman on if this is going to happen?

Honestly if it does get produced it would be my next AR purchase. Slap some MOE handguards on it and call it good.

The pic that Bravo has on the Rifle Length MOE listing has a distinctly FAL-esqe look that I find appealing:

It's appeal to me is not really a weight issue, but rather a functional and tough handguard that can readily accept a light at a fraction of the cost of a rail system. I think that it would be very appealing to people that prefer iron sights and can apply those sights at a high enough level to achieve better accuracy than with shorter radius sight setups. I could see myself getting one to throw in the truck or for my girlfriend who doesn't really appreciate optics and prefers a A2 type sight. Despite my opinons on the matter, she prefers what she prefers, and I would rather get her a rifle she likes and wants to shoot than one I like that she doesn't want to shoot. And when she decides that she wants a lighter or different setup I could use it for iron-sight only 3-gun and/or truck gun.

For me it would be a win-win situation. I would like to see them make it, possibly in a pencil profile.

Getting ready to buy my first AR before the end of the year, and was planning on it being a BCM middy. I would much rather go with one of these if they are going to become available. I have the arms of a chimpanzee and would like the extra real estate.

I'd order one right now if available. Slap a set of rifle length MOE handguards on it and a Aimpoint T-1 and you have a awesome, simple set up. I'm tall so I like having the longer handguards, but I have to be honest with myself, I no longer "need" free float rails and the ability to mount all sorts of goodies other than a flashlight.

I am with you. Simple is nice. I like the MOE hand guards too. I sold a set of rails I had on a gun and put MOE HG's on. Lighter and cheaper is also a big plus.

I think you struck the nail on the head, I've been thinking that since I received my Bushmaster Dissy upper about a year ago.

I've been looking at the Dissy for a while now, I like 'em! I want one! I really like the KISS rifles out there, i don't need rails to put a pull start, outboard, Johnson on, I guess I am a minimalist.
