    Thumbs up

Definitely count me in after reading Rob's posts and seeing an action pic.

Unless the weight difference is significantly prohibitive, I would much prefer the Dissipator's mid-length gas system, longer hand guard, and longer sighting radius vs. the short M4A1 set-up. The handling and iron sighting advantages with the Dissipator seem superior to me.

I'd like to build something like this with a rifle length gas system in the near future...

    Outlaw Don,

Nice picture, how did you do that?

Why would you want a rifle length gas system with a 16" barrel? It wouldn't work anyway. Not enough dwell time.
Do it with a mid length gas system if 14.5 to 16" barrel or carbine gas system if the barrel is shorter than 14.5".

I honestly didn't notice the UWL for the entire three days, which to me is indicative that it did it's job perfectly. I made extra sure to pull it as far back as it would go to ensure that it was as tight as possible.
