What Non-AR should one own?

Another vote for a DCM/CMP Garand.

There will always be time for the others, but the supply of arsenal M1s is finite, and this is the battle rifle that belongs in every rifleman's safe. I favor the M1A as well, but first things first.

I going to get blown back to the stone age for this... I will be the first to say mini 14, I have 2 GB's that I bought for my boys, 12 & 10, to shoot ,moving them up from 10/22s. I wanted them to learn to shoot open sights, glass on a mini is like lipstick on a pig, looks nice but still a pig, minis are fun to shoot kinda like a carbine, but in 5.56 good for shooting cans and plinking, and a little target shooting, not a bad gun, they like'm.... I chose an Arsenal Classic underfolder for my other than AR rifle. If you get an AK make it an arsenal. There are a lot of nice rifles out there. I always did want one of those pre ban Steyr Augs though.
