    Personally I think so.

Twisted mine hard once and it came off. No heat or tools used. It wasn't that hard. Didn't mention the thread lock because it is visible in the picture. I didn't know it was there until the bezel was off. The manual does not state to not remove the bezel or that the bezel is thread locked to the body.

Will the lack of a spring between the battery and LED circuit be an issue when these are used as a weapon light?

Correct, traditionally SF lights have dual springs which keeps the batteries from going back and fouth in the tube while the light is jolted preventing them from hitting the circuit board. I guess the X series does not have the spring. One can obtain a spring for them but I'm quite sure if they would fit as I don't have my hands on one currently.

Cool, I thought it had to come off somehow. On initial appearance, it looked one piece but I was thinking that it had to come off some way for SF to replace the LED if it was ever sent back for a repair/warranty issue. I thought about putting it in the vise and using a strap wrench to remove it, but no need to now since you post some pics.

Any one know why type of bulb is used in the 6px? I want to switch out my P60 bulb in my 6p defender but am having trouble trying to figure out what i should drop in it. Any one have any suggestions besides a malkoff M61?

TNVC, Malkoff M60, or give Brightflashlights.com a call, they will explain the different aftermarket drop-ins for a 6P. They have a few options for ya.

Well a Malkoff M61 or M60 would be my top choice from a quality standpoint. However there are literally dozens of choices although most are of questionable quality. A cheap one will probably work fine in a general use light, but for weapon mounting or serious use go with something proven like Malkoff or TNVC.

Anyone put a 6px or G2x inside a 6p or G2 mount yet? I'm wondering if the design of the tube keeps it from being fully secured inside a weapons mount. That would be a dealbreaker.

I emailed Vltor and they said they tested their offset mount with the G2x and 6Px and they do indeed fit.
