Great information. Two interesting suggestions were never ration water and adding bleach to stored tap water.

I have quite a few purification tablets stored, but really need to stock up on contaminate filtering devices.

Reecently added to the personal library.

The Survival Handbook, Colin Towell, Dorling Kindersly.

Auhor:

The author was the Royal Navy's Chief Survival Instructor and has spent 30 some years teaching survival skills to all branches of the military including SF. He also spent 3 years at the US Navy SERE School as the Chief Instructor.

My Thoughts:

The book provides a good and comprehensive introduction to the novice student, hopefully encouraging further learning and practice. For the advanced student it gives an excellent refreher of previously learnt information and also points at some new skills that may not have been encountered previously.

Overall:

Well worth $30.00.
