If it causes problems with function, send it in for warranty repair. $400 for a rifle that you can treat like a cheap hooker and not feel guilty, sounds like a good idea to me.

I agree with bkb0000 on this. If your gonna put it in your truck and may have to count on it to work 100% to save your life or a family members life then do not carry it to use as a self defense weapon.

And quit busting Spanky's balls! Damn! He only asked a question.

I would try to clean it and hope to knock it off, followed by some pressurized air from the gas tube at the receiver so you shoot the metal out instead of shooting the gun and having the shaving enter the gas system/bolt. Then I would re-clean. Then shoot!

There is already a forum for that. It's called ARFCOM.

Unfortunately, we all aren't interested in the same things. M4C is supposed to about spreading the truth about a standard. And helping others find that truth. Or at least I thought so. I'm not anti-hobby gun. Search my posts and you'll note that I've built a case for why hobby guns can be a good thing.

We're not busting the OP's balls about asking a question. We're busting his balls because he demonstrated a certain sense of entitlement of "deserving" an answer, and ignoring good answers he got.

Plus, he really didn't do ANY diligence in trying to find an answer before asking the question.

I never felt like I was entitled to an answer! It is completely up to each member if they feel like giving an answer, and my feelings would not be hurt if nobody felt like I deserved an answer. Some folks were nice enough to respond to my question with decency and class, while another member felt entitled to be a prick about it. Let it go buddy. I'm not here to have arguments, I just asked a dam question and you begin starting trouble with not only me but also other members who posted in this thread. I asked about a bur in my barrel and what I should do about it. That's all! I apologize to everyone that this thread has accumulated some worthless crap. I will start a new topic when the "no good turd dpms" is built and let you know what was learned and what if any problems were encountered. I really appreciate everyones help here, and thanks to those who stuck up for me here.....

Good for you, dude. Now put it together and beat it like it owes you money. You can always get another barrel if this one turns out wonky. Only one way to find out.

LMHO...Funny, I'm glad he sent a patch down through the barrel...Shoot the fire out of it. Careful about that drinking and buying, that will get you into trouble. Let us know how the beater gun turns out after a few hundred rounds.
