So basically, it's a 7.62 rifle, that can be converted to use a 5.56 upper and magazine?

I'd rather see an SR-25 pattern gun.

Aw man, the magazine in the schematic is of Armalite/M14/AR10 type. It may just be a stand in, but I can hear the haters already. First the Sig 716, now the Colt. I think the world will end shortly.

Colt should have the original AR10 plans and tooling laying around somewhere.

Colt didn't have anything to do with the original AR-10's though.....

Armalite Costa Mesa and the Dutch Artillerie Inrichtingen are who would have them...

Colt bought the rights to both the AR-10 and AR-15. They further developed the AR-10 to be more like the later AR15's, but at that point nobody was interested in it.

    It looks nice, but

I would hate to have the job of inventory and tracking with the extra mags, mag wells and any other peripherals. It would be an S-4 nightmare. Those interchangeable guns are nice until us grunts start losing parts. I see it's DGI, which I like for a 7.62 AR platform. Just my 2 cents.
