i have it on my DD Omega X 12in rail. I like that it has an insert sleeve for use with my E1 and when removed I can use either the G2 or 6P. That being said, the mount seems ever so slightly undersized for the rail, the mount bows just a bit when the screws are fully tightened. I havent had the oppurtunity to do one of Rob S's night shoots just yet, so I cant give actual ninja experience, but for the price and size...its a "score" for me.

My S&W M&P15 VTAC came with one and a surefire G2. The mount (and the G2) work great, and has most definately been one of those parts you set up and just completely forget about because it does it's job without causing any grief.

The set screws used to secure the light could mar the finish of an aluminum bodied flashlight, but are garunteed to hold it in place securely.

In short, it just plain works.

It looks great, but being so cheap made me a tad skeptical about quality. Thanks for the input.

Have had one for bout a year. Good gear for the price. No quick detach.

Does anyone know how the FDE mount matches up with Magpul's FDE?

I really like mine in black. I have a FDE one I need to get rid of though. (changed colors on rifle, back to black)

No. It is noticeably darker. Regardless, does it really matter?

No, it doesn't...I was just curious. Although it's nice to have a sweet looking rifle, I'm definitely in the 'function over form' school of thinking.
