Eglin area

Anyone live in Eglin AFB housing? Moving there soon and just looking to see how it is. Help would be appreciated.

I did about 4 years ago. It wasn't bad. The houses were a bit old but the one I lived in was roomy. It had a Florida room that could be used as a third bedroom. The housing people weren't too crazy about lawn work, etc. The hospital is right there, as well as a couple schools. Any particular questions, just let me know. Also, you can choose to live on either Hurlburt, Eglin or an off base housing area (I can't remember the name of it).

There are not many houses left on Eglin. In their bid to "Privatize" housing, Eglin has demolished most outdated units so a contractor can build in their place. Nothing new has been built though.
