The .308 AR is not standard like the AR-15, each manufacturer's rifle is different, most do not interchange.

Looks like I better start saving for a KAC SR25 EM then.

What would you expect BCM to offer that LMT or Larue do not? Not saying that you shouldn't save for the SR25, but I am curious about why you dismiss those other two options so quickly.

If anything BCM stepping into this market will help further standardize the options available (I'm thinking a simple SR-25 family Forged Lower... not sure on the rest).

Pure speculation, but I'm fairly certain the market is there for a BCM .308.

There'd be a market for a Daniel Defense .30 too

They got that cold hammer barrel forge and do some fine work
in aluminum as well..they already got handguards ready..

Heck they make pretty much their own ARs from scratch for cryin
out loud..they were born to make .308 ARs

LaRue does not offer a barrel other than SS, and the gun is not really setup as a battle rifle.

The LMT while a good gun is a DMR weight weapon and setup at heart.

Think of a KAC EMC but at 2500-3k with a properly profiled CHF barrel. Hopefully closer to 2k with just something like a DD rail, plain CHF barrel, ect.

    The 308 market is growing.

Considering the LAV collection, and their existing Lite rails, I'd say that's a 100% chance (but when?), and I'd suspect it'll be a very light CHF setup (perhaps lighter than an EMC) but not necessarily as well set up for running suppressed.
