if BCM or DD made a 7.62 AR I'd buy one especially a compact 14.5"-16" barrel with a collapsable stock.

The LMT while a good gun is a DMR weight weapon and setup at heart.

Think of a KAC EMC but at 2500-3k with a properly profiled CHF barrel. Hopefully closer to 2k with just something like a DD rail, plain CHF barrel, ect.

    The 308 market is growing.
Now I have started drooling just thinking about this.

I'd be happy if BCM or DD came out with .308 BCGs, those can be hard to find.

    Yes, I'm resurrecting this thread.

Any more info out there on this? If BCM made a gun like the SR-25 APC I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Just think of it: BCM-branded SR-25 type lower, 7.62 barrel profiled like their enhanced medium fluted barrels, upsized MCMR handguard, and their comp...that would be a real winner that I'd jump on right away.

At the moment it's PSA (bleh), the M&P10 (kinda good but very few quality aftermarket options for free float, etc), other hit-or-miss options of questionable track record, or something obscenely expensive like a SR-25, SCAR, etc.

    We can dream...

The DDM4V5 has been pretty solid from what I have seen. Not insanely priced.

Centurion Arms is coming out with 308 goodies soon. They will be worth a look.

I’ve heard some good things about the Colt 901. Mostly positive with some mixed reviews on the DD.
