6.8 SBR

I've been wanting an SBR for a while now. I like the compact size of the 7" barrels but I don't like the ballistics of a 5.56 from a barrel that short. I was wondering if anyone had any data on a 6.8 at that length. As far as I've been able to find, only ar15barrels and Noveske sell 7" 6.8 barrels, and they are a good $100-$200 more than a 5.56 barrel from most anywhere else. Any links to a more economical source would be appreciated.

Thanks! That 8" PDW looks exactly like what I want. If only there were a DI upper of that size in the ~$500-700 range. It seems like the kind of thing that CMMG would make, but they don't. I wonder if they would do a custom one.

Seems to me that the 6.8SBR would be a great door kicking gun.
