I agree,,I have a couple Turner NM slings,,good stuff !!! I have a Standard Leather & one of the Biothane Synthetic sling,,both work great. Also,,,a little tip for ya,,go to the Turner website & look for 2nds,,they are cheaper because of some blemish,,although when I got mine I could never find the problem !! Another question is what are you gonna use it for,,Service rifle competition,,general range work,,tactical stuff,,etc !!! For the Service rifle stuff,,the Turner is good,,general range work,,just get a GI Cotton/Nylon sling,,for tactical stuff,,I have a Specter Gear Sling,,,works pretty good on my short BBL rifles !!

Also as good as the Turner are,,if ya need a NM sling and want something different & what I call the BEST NM sling get a Les Tam,,they are awesome,,,cost a bit more,,,but I feel they are well worth it !!! Just my 2 cent worth !!

I have a Turner sling on my Garand and like it very much. It has that retro appeal if that is what you are looking for.

    Turner Saddlery is second tier.

Leslie Tam makes the best National Match M1907 sling. Period. End of story. Not even close.

Hand made,,,he calls you & talks it over with you,, what you are gonna use the rifle/sling for,,the workmanship is 2nd to NONE & they are thicker,,better quality leather,,(Not that the Turners are bad,,they are not) !!!! It is a awesome sling !!! I was lucky,,when I got mine,,it was only about 2 weeks from the time I talked with Les till I received the sling !!! Looks like he is a bit busier now,,,,

    I second the Biothane slings.

I used Turner, then Tam for years in Hi-power and got turned onto the Biothane slings.

All of the benefits of leather with none of the drawbacks.

Try them before you buy them and you decide.

Are they simular in weight to leather? More? Less?
