Thumbs up Why M4C is really really great

    1. I was able to register with this site using my gmail e-mail, unlike TOS

    2. There seem to be a lot of verified experts from different fields

    3. The people are friendly and civil

    4. The website color scheme and logo are really hot

If I had to make an observation about "here" versus "there," I think it might go along these lines ...

Here, the emphasis seems to be upon equipment that works under fire, and a responsible attitude toward ownership, maintenance, and training with the ultimate goal of achieving competence with the weapon.

There, the emphasis seems to be upon equipment that looks "cool," and no one needs to really worry about training, since most are self-avowed experts whose ultimate goal is to have the most tricked-out hardware.

True, I'm generalizing a great deal, but what I appreciate most about M4CN is that we are a community of grown-ups who are generally open to new ideas, receptive to counsel, and serious about the AR as a working tool, and not merely a toy. A combination of effective self-policing and circumspect moderation makes this the most reputable Black Rifle board extant, in my opinion.

Being new here, I'd say that summarizes it pretty well.

    I agree.

Here you post a question and you get two answers that really mean something. Elsewhere you post a question and you get 50 answers that mean nothing, 10 of which are from guys calling you an idiot for even asking.

It is also nice to be surrounded by people that train, and adjust their gear based on that training. It's refreshing.
