That's true, but I'm also finding sufficient amounts of humor and sarcasm, too. That's more important than a lotta people realize to keep a forum entertaining and worth coming back to.

This thread is beginning to feel like a reason to pad my post totals, though.

Elsewhere you post a question and you get 50 answers that mean nothing, 10 of which are from guys calling you an idiot for even asking.

This I remember well, also. Too much "I know everything" mob mentality there. Mods let those type run wild at the indicated site.

It's guys like KevinB, GotM4, Mark LaRue, Vickers and my favorite, Pat Rogers that make this site so great. They're patient with our questions and explain it to us in a way that doesn't make us feel as dumb as we feel for asking it. They give us their honest opinions from their wealth of experience. That's why I continue to come here. And there's a good sense of humor included. But I gotta say this: a buddy of mine that served in Afghanistan returned from a tour and I quizzed him about some of the things he learned about operating his C7 over there. Everything he said about maintenance of the operating system and how to deploy the M16/M4 was stuff I'd already learned from Pat Rogers' publications here and in SWAT magazine! One of your quotes Pat that I use when I'm training officers at work is "This is not THE way, it's A way". I love that quote!
