^Nice Canonshooter.... the Leupold looks similar to their scout (long eye relief) scope. In the past I've played with similar scopes on other types of rifles. The scout scope fits nicely between an RDS and a medium powered magnified optic. Hows it shoot?
I like it. It is the end result of trying all the usual suspects over the years (Aimpoints, ACOGs, LPVs, etc.) and not being entirely happy due to my crappy eyesight. With this set up there's no illuminated mil-dot reticle, no tactical turrets and no variable power, but the older I get the more I appreciate simplicity. The entire rifle weighs 7-pounds, 2-ounces unloaded and the simple duplex reticle gives me all the precision I need out to 300 yards.

I subscribe to the zen of the 100-yard zero, at that range it does well with my two favorite loads;
