Yes, extensively. I haven't ported any of these over to Google Sheets, which I do for every other activity for cost/performance min/max engineering.
The biggest thing I've determined from doing all that is that the heart wants what it wants, and whatever mashup of concepts from this thread I want to have join my pile, I'll make it happen no matter what. The other theme is that I'm always incredibly happy with my 'leftover/trash' builds, because they'll always outperform expectations. Anything in between, I'm never happy.

I started doing it as a way to track how much money I was/am spending. It’s interesting. I have hit the point where I mostly sell stuff/something if I want something new. This helps me stay on top of that. And, perhaps sadly, I kinda enjoy it.

I use a list app on my phone. It’s more of s shopping list but I don’t delete anything after buying it so I can add up all the stuff to see total value. Helps a lot when trying to figure out insurance. I use My Gun Database on the computer to track round counts and used to keep it updated with all of the prices from my shopping list, but have fallen off with that. I need to just build a spreadsheet for it all.
