    No. It was fine; I mostly just wanted to try a higher mount and have a personal preference for horizontally split rings.

    Thanks. I'm looking at the Recon for my Virtus but was also looking at the Geissele.

    Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

    What is it?
    Essentially a ventilated sight rib for an AR15. It's to assist in point shooting like a shotgun rib and gives the user an extended sight radius (20.5").

    Why?
    Because I can, and I wanted to. I enjoy making my own toys.

    We could debate the merits of that vs a red dot, but if you like it and built it yourself, then it's pretty cool.
