They did, and I declined the nomination. I sent them an email explaining that while I appreciated the thought, I didn't need recognition as pretty much every one in the industry already knew me and my work. I felt it would be better to use the platform for new guys who were trying to get established. With social media platforms being heavily biased against firearm images (except a few who manage to get around it), some of these newer guys don't get the chance for recognition that they deserve.

Gotcha, I'm with you on "renewed or repeat contracts, meaning 'paychecks,' are the best recognition possible" and respect the mindset of "I've made my bones so let the next generation have room to grow."

Hopefully it goes well, but if they do the multiple votes, buying votes, or anything else that way, I would lose faith in it and suspect it of being more like a "look at us event". One vote per person, keep skanky girls out, and then I would consider it legit. However, its their game, their rules, and I still hope it goes well. Eventually it will tie into a SHOT Show dinner or something I would guess.

Think I did see multiple voting, and now it raises questions about Aero with me for being part of it. Not a "guilt by association," but more a "things that need examining" sense.

The X300 is really a super universal light. If I could only have one flashlight for everything, it would be the X300 series.

My 24" Custom Predator



Alot of work in. Easy shooter for most to shoot sub moa, regardless of thier shooting abilities. And recoil is almost none existent with the h3 Sound Midagation Buffer and 416SS barrel. Just a few more things I'm waiting mail and I'll post full build.

Nice, have you ever thought about a fixed stock?

Yeah I'm in the process of trying to find a good fit. I've looked through alot of the and me being 6', I tend to find with the long eye relief and short carbine stock isn't as comfortable shooting for me. But my wife and most others it fits well. So I am definitely on the lookout for a fixed stock"hint hint"

With that in mind, I can see why they wouldn't want me to be donating anything, they are looking for clients, not competition.
