I have a pistol that is "nice and ugly" . Refinished in cerocote years ago that has worn to the point of allowing rust if not addressed often, then I painted it but that is wearing off at an alarming rate... I like it.

ASDW:TNG is still awaiting its barrel (trapped in my post office's back sorting room) and some work by my pro smith after it arrives... not gonna happen before Christmas, need to see if the shop's gonna be open the week between Christmas and New Year's. (Mission concept: 1. evaluate technical improvements and tinkerings to the GAU-5 concept, 2. enlighten my gal as to WHY a "purse-carry AR" is not a viable defensive option even if you have a fire-team partner with a pistol covering you, 3. discreet defense option for ground travel.)
