May be a dumb question but, is there any kind of reaction to worry about with mixing lubrication brands? Say I use Remoil, then Slip 2000 EWL, then WS... is that OK? Should the parts be scrubbed clean first?

No, you're fine.
All the compounds that are found professionally in the industry are all very stable and I have yet, in over 21 years, to see anything react adversely when internixed.
If you use Weapon Shield with any of the mentioned products already on the surface, it's no problem at all...WS will immeadiately seek out and compete for the surface(s) and win by displacing any other compounds away from the surface areas and into suspension above the Advanced Boundary Film that has been formed by it.
In other words, WS moves in and takes over.
Best,
George

Gotcha. Thanks for the quick reply. I asked because I had always been told when changing oil in my car not to mix regular and synthetic oils.
Email for sample inbound.![]()

Hi George
You sent me your free sample (thank you) up here in Canada, i really like the Weapon Shield CLP and im about to order a 16oz bottle off your site. My question is, i also use grease, i like the TW25B, would your comparable product be your "Litho Shield". What can you tell me about Litho Shield and its performance in a firearms (1911, M4) environment. Just looking for info before i order on your site.
Thanks alot
Mike
Interesting claim, George...do you think WS would work its way under Mad Dod XF-7? I clean to bare metal and apply XF, then run oil/CLP over that. Not sure if I'd want that property in my CLP...

Thank you Mike. The Lithi-Shield #2 is a bit too thick for the winter months in the northern environment. WS-CLP will meet ALL your needs. We've brought out (just need to get it on the site) "Weapob Shield Grease", which is an NLGI #1 (softer and more viscous) grease. If you call us at (800) 390-1535 you can order it. I still advocate WS-CLP, because of the greases potential to slow cycling down some in very cold weather, but the #1 grease makes it less likely to happen. Besides, on medium and heavy MGs, the grease really shines there
That isnt a problem Carb, as it's a bit more complex from a boundary basis.
The BEST scenario is to use the WS-CLP on the surfaces of your M4 prior to using FX-7 Grease, as this will freely allow the formation of the ABF to occur. THEN, use the FX-7 to impart the waterproof characteristics that you so desire.
HOWEVER, if that is not possible and you wish to apply the WS-CLP to the weapon with the FX-7 already in place, that will work as well. The WS-CLP will STILL find its way to the surface of the metal. Keep in mind, we're on a scale of microns and working in a quantum electro-chemical environment where angstroms are the primary measurement of distance. The ABF is still formed, allowing the FX-7 to still do its job, as any solid lubricant would, without faultering a bit. It is actually the best of both worlds and the best part is, you can try it for nothing. Imagine...your M4 (or any other weapon for that matter that you use the FX-7 on) impervious to water AND wear. Just pm me with your addy and I'd be happy to send you some to test...anyone for that matter.
Best regards,
George

George
I just placed an order for the 16oz Weapon Shield and oiler pen, i guess i will hold off on the grease for now.
Thanks alot.
Mike
Heya Mike!
Thanks so much.
We'll have the grease in stock (I thought we did already...sorry) in 2 weeks, for sure.
We just got the labels in for the tubs (2oz and 1lb) and I assumed we got the grease in too. The grease is the ONLY product we do not manufacture here at our facility in Bethel Park. The reason is, that there are only a few grease manufacturers in the US due to the fact that its a very specialty process that involves batches of 20,000 to 40,000 pounds by heating the materials in a contactor to 400+ degrees F for saponification and a delicate yield. If not done precisely, the batch will end up in a total batch failure. We tried it years ago when I had MPC and it was a disaster that could have ended in catastrophe. Luckily noone was scalded or hurt when the contactor de-pressurized due to a bad seal and 410 deg F liquid grease came spewing out. That was it for us. Off to find a grease manufacturer that did this stuff 24/7/365. They do however, manufacture it to my exact formula and specifications under a rigid proprietary agreement. That agreement is treated like "gold" by both of us, as any divulged info or trade secrets could cause Steel Shield to end up becoming grease manufacturers...but thats not what we want at all.
Best regards,
George
