    Colt HBAR SPORTER

I have in my possession a Colt HBAR Sporter AR-15 A2, Ser. SP 227365. The barrel is marked C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR and the rifle has the bayonet lug, brass deflector, bolt assist, fixed carry handle and no cage around the magazine release. I know this rifle is from the 80s, but can anyone enlighten me on the details such as worth, uniqueness etc. on this. The rifle is in near mint condition, have probably less than 1000 rounds down the tube and is in original condition. I'm trying to locate the original box for the model number, so I don't have that info at hand right now.
I also have two Colt scopes, one laser etched 3X20 and the other marked 3X20, painted on. Both have the mounts for the carry handle.

Any thoughts, resources or information would of course be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

    Its a 6601 or 6600.

It is worth somewhere between $1000 and $1300.

    It's not collectable.

The 6601/6600 is one of the most common Colt models there is, if not the most common. I think over a 100,000 have been made since the late 1980s

The slabside lower is also not that great as it cannot mount a standard upper without an adapter pin.

I would sell it off and buy a different Colt.
