    629 for Black Bear

I would like to show just a little of what we do inside two weeks at Superior firearms.
This gun came in just 10 days ago.

The gun stated out life as just a 629.
I hope we made it a work of art for the customer.

The front sight is gold bead and the rear is black Bowen rough country they are almost indestructible.

The hammer bob helps to make certain you get the gun into action fast without snagging on you gear.

The action is set at 9lbs a little heavier than a compaction gun for reliability.
The bead blast finish takes all the glare of the gun and gives it a nice look and feel.

We would like to know what you think of the package we did.

    Thumbs up

I have a S&W M629 Mountain Gun that I adore - though it's too much of a handgun for me. I was thinking about putting more robust sights on it such as what you've just shown but since moving from MI the bears are smaller so I've not done anything with it but look at it. Gorgeous thing to me.

Now that you've shown this I'll have to reconsider things a bit.

    Beautiful work!

If you want my honest feedback, I think it looks GREAT! The only thing that doesn't seem up to the rest of the gun is the plywood looking grips.

Perhaps the customer specified those grips... I would run some Hogues or custom wood grips as I think it would help bring out the nice finish and the rest of the gun.

Don't take that too hard, I'd love to own that one!

Hogues are what came off of the gun.
