On your Noveske Afgan. You should not bridge the optic from the receiver to the rail. The scope is also too forward. Not sure how you are able to shoot it like that..

Pat u r correct on the scope hitting the buis(troy) that is why. I don't
have any problems shooting like it is set up. Bridging the scope is probably why I can't get the groups I expect from the Noveske barrel. I'm gonna switch the arms mount to a Larue and that will be better thanks Chad

You can always run a A.R.M.S. Swan Sleeve which will kill two birds with one stone...first it will provide you the clearance to clear the rear buis w/o switching rings or buying a new mount, secondly it will mate up your separated upper rec. and rail better and overall making it more rigid for mounting optics.

The worst way to mount glass on an AR 15 is to run separate rings with one on the upper rec. and the other on the rail...like the above setup. I still would not bridge the gap with a one piece mount like a larue or adm. The Swan Sleeve has a place in the AR builder's repertoire of kit and it seems like you might could benefit from the use of one.

I have some risers I could send you that are small that you could put under your mounts. They may rise it too high as they put it up about .5 inch.
