I've been participating in two 1.5 MOA M14 challenges on some other forums. One forum requires four 5-shot groups under 1.5 MOA on one clean sheet of paper, the other forum requires five 5-shot groups. I've managed to complete both challenges at both 100 and 200 yards with two different rifles. Here are mine...

One is an LRB with a medium weight Criterion barrel and a carbon graphite kevlar stock that I bedded myself.

The other is a standard M1A in a Blackfeather chassis. Both challenges were shot using a Bassett scope mount and the same Zeiss Conquest 3-9x50mm scope.

    The LRB...

    100yd groups averaging 1.159"...

    The M1A with a 1MOA average group at 200yds...

I just got a Leupold Mk4 scope this week so I'm going to try the challenge at 300 yards in the next week or 2.

    Enjoy!
    Tony.

Pretty much finished this build (can't decide on a muzzle device). Absolutely love it. It's borrowing my MWS's optic.

Thankfully some members convinced me to try the Rainier Ultramatch barrel (Shilen).

This is from the very first outing with handloads/match ammo. Loads selected at random.

Upper 5 groups shot with 24.0 Varget and 77 Nosler Custom Comps. Bottom 5 groups are some load except topped off with 77 Berger tactical OTM (I only bought these because they were all my local store had above 70 grains and I'm sure glad I did).

Note: I know not many will believe this but it's the honest truth and I would never be so pathetic as to lie over something so insignificant. But anyway, I was getting frustrated with my results with the Noslers and got careless and quickly aimed at the wrong bullseye on the bottom left group. I drew a circle where it would have been. If I would have known the Bergers were going to shoot so well and I would be posting them, I would have put a new target up for them or at least taken a pic of the target showing the 1 hole before shooting the Bergers. Because of that shot I shot the Bergers in reverse order taking my last 5 shots of the day into the .477" group.

This is by far the best I've ever shot with a semi-auto. Can't wait to tweak some loads.

Only had 33 rounds of cheap walmart ZQI down the tube before this outing. This barrel doesn't seem to be picky bc it shot those very well also.
