Is it possible to put a Gen 3 G19 trigger bar in a Gen4 G23 and still have it function reliably? Are the trigger bars that work in the 9mm glocks the same for the 40 caliber glocks?

You should be GTG.
Only hits count......you can not miss fast enough to catch up
So, the same should hold true for swapping out a Gen4 G19 grooved trigger for a Gen3 G17 smooth trigger...?
It was only a momentary lapse of reason...
The last class I was at the resident Glock armorer was swapping 17 smooth triggers into 19s and he wouldn't put them into gen 4 19s.
He had just taken a recent Gen 4 course and he said he didn't feel comfortable with it as there are differences in the trigger bars.

Tagging this for a bit for potential disconcerting news.
Glocks are functional tools and nothing else, hence they have no soul - Rob S.
The trigger bar they use in the Gen 4s is the bar from the G37 (.45 GAP) model. My understanding is that the G37 bar is stiffer that the Gen 3 bars. However, myself and several others have put Gen 3 bars in the Gen 4s with good success. If the Gen 3 trigger bar was sturdy enough for the hundreds of thousands of Gen 1-3 Glocks in service, I feel confident to use it in the Gen 4. The reason for the less than desireable trigger pull in the Gen 4s is due to the G37 trigger bar. A Gen 3 trigger bar will clean up the trigger pull on the Gen 4 pistols.
I bought a Gen4 G19 in June and installed a G17 trigger bar before even taking it to the range. 1k rounds later I have had zero issues.
Second place earns a body bag.
most issues with the trigger bars are not lubing the connector properly. I always add a lube point to the trigger bar/fp safety contact also.

The only difference between G19/23 Gen 3 and G17/22 Gen 3 trigger bars is the serrations on the face of the plastic trigger. Same goes for the G19/23 Gen 4 and G17/22 Gen 4. The serrations are there for importation reasons for the 1968 GCA, serrations make it a 'target' trigger for the points bullshit.

I think the difference that is being referred to is the detent that is present on the upper protrusion on the Gen4 trigger bar. Not the serrations on the trigger face...
Anyhow, tonight I swapped out the original Gen4 trigger bar with a Gen2/3 G17/22 trigger bar. Seems to function fine during dry fire but won't know for sure until I get some bullets launched.
It was only a momentary lapse of reason...
