Thanks larry!! I can go back to buying brownells mags and sleep well at night knowing I'm not getting anything from those losers at Cprod.

For what it's worth. I shot the crap out of my Tan brownells mags at class last weekend, and they were flawless.

    Larry,

Thanks for the info. I'll contact BCM. I bought some of them almost 2 years ago and they've been boxed up until recently when I needed some mags for the range one day.

If you are able, please pass this info up the chain. EVERY Tan Brownell's mag I own (12) has this issue, whether they were bought 2 years ago or this year.

RAMEngineer: Would you please pick out the worst two or three and send them back, to my attention? I'll get them to the folks that need to see them, they'll check to see if they are in tolerance. Could be a case of a min. tolerance floorplate in a max tolerance body. We keep pretty tight controls on all that because of the contract (body and floorplate are the same for civilian and military - only the follower and spring vary). If something has slipped through, we need to fix it. I have a returned mag at my desk and I can move the floorplate back and forth a bit but it looks like I'd have to use a screwdriver to pry it past the tab, and work pretty hard at that. Seems like a great forum, doesn't degenerate into the name calling you see so often on the internet.

    banned again markm

Is that a bad thing knowing who its from? I like the Brownell's mags, no loose floor plates on mine. GTG, and like Larry said Brownell's CS is top drawer.
