Best way to loosen up a kydex holster?

I just got my RCS Phantom for my P30 and the thing is very tight. With my Wilderness 5 stitch belt the holster still causes my pants to lift up steve urkel style when drawing the P30.

I appreciate solid retention but this is a bit too much.

Are there any good techniques for lessening the retention a bit?

Probably not the right technique, but I ran my oven at 150 degrees, let it cool down for 5 minutes, installed the holster; pulled it out another five minutes later.
Shoved the pistol in two ziploc bags, crammed it in, let that relax. Fit has been fantastic since.

Tom - if my doing this to one of your masterpieces is barbaric - my apologies.

Looks like I won't be needing to do any home remedies....Tom quickly contacted me and offered to fix the issue promptly.

Not sure why I didn't think of contacting them but I'm sure glad they contacted me before I did something stupid to my holster

That method is the one most likely to ruin the holster.

Every now and then, we have customers report that they feel their holster is too tight, or too loose. Sometimes there is a sharp edge on their pistol or light that needs to break an edge inside the holster (often caused by QC issues with some of the lesser light manufacturers). Sometimes the customer has installed a set of belt hardware wrong, or is running some addition on their pistol they didn't let us know about (most often the case). Every now and then, we simply let one out that was different than what the customer is looking for.

As always, we ask you contact us if you have any questions. Our warranty is simple - if you have an issue, we'll fix it. No red tape, no fine print.

And this is the reason that I will keep ordering from yall and recommending your products. I had an issue with once of my LC holsters and am pretty sure that it was tight because of tolerance stacking on the part of the light manufacture but yall took care of me promptly after a two minute phone conversation. Customer for life right here.

I found the best way to loosen up a RCS is to stick a hot slide in the holster after shooting alot at a rapid pace

    Update-

I have received Lucky Strike's holster back in the mail, and the retention appears to be perfect. I have tested it with our P30 and sent him a video via email.

    Thanks,

I like it. At this point in life, I'd have to find reading glasses to read the fine print anyway.
