Well I assume any of these will work just fine.

What would be the pros/cons of using this barrel?

Lighter weight is nice but do you lose out on something else by going that route?

I appreciate all the help guys.

Just out of curiosity why did you replace the S&W barrel?

5pins- I shot my friends middy then shot my carbine and got the urge for a middy.

Update- just got back from the range. Ran into a gunsmith at the range at he found my gas block was a little loose. Tightened it up and put 160 rounds out without a malfunction. Hopefully this solved it.

I would cycle a few rounds by hand to see if the bullets are still being set back. A loose gas block would affect cycling but I can't see how it would stop the bullets from being set back. Proceed with caution because you do NOT want to be firing "compressed" cartridges.

Why not just buy a new upper instead of a barrel swap? A Little more money, with much less potential to go wrong, and warranties if it doesn't work.

    Major #1 on that...

A loose gas block has ZERO to do with bullet setback issues. Be careful until you know your weapon is Good To Go... Something is going on here...

I was thinking about this. I suppose it's possible that a loose gas block would screw with the cycle of operation and thereby cause it to move slow(er) which could then cause the rounds to hit the feed ramp area which in turns allows some craziness to happen.

More or less what I was going to post as well.

The secondary question is whether or not the barrel has M4 feedramps. The S&W upper should, and if the barrel doesn't...

According to that website their barrels have M4 feedramps. I am pretty sure that S&W uppers do.
