Beauty contestants must be firearms proficient...

...and CPR qualified. Should be interesting to see if this gets any publicity:

I’m surprised they didn’t require a virginity exam.

This is typical boilerplate for any of the major pageants. In other words, Miss Liberty USA's requirements for CPR and firearms proficiency are the only unusual pageant requirements.

I associate with an abnormal number of pageant winners/participants, primarily because of my pro-female point of view, and the fact that a lot of these young ladies really want to serve their country and have knowledge, skills and experience that can help our warfighters, and I help facilitate that. Many would be surprised at how attractive females are discriminated against.

All of my pageant participant friends could successfully participate in this pageant, except for the age requirements, as several are past 27 years of age. One of my prerequisites for mentoring a young lady is that they know firearms handling and first aid.

I like the premise to this pageant.

I’m also not thrilled about the natural born citizen requirement. Anyone who goes through the process of becoming a citizen should be treated as a citizen and nothing less.

Oops... didn't see that bit. I guess that rules out a certain gorgeous Chinese-American I know....

Yeah. I skimmed-over the site briefly too. An interesting concept, but it may be difficult to find many model types that can pass the nudity-type photo requirement.

Ms. California ended-up having problems from some risque photos surfacing and she was considered almost saintly by many prior to the release of the photos and her comments on the sanctity of marriage.

Still like a few others, I would love to see what contestants surface.

There are alot of beautiful women shooters out there. Last night on The Craig Ferguson show there was a beautiful actress talking about
taking him shooting. Her name was Sophia Bush. She even has a CCW. My kind of girl.

Nearly every other pageant out there has the same nudity, marriage and pregnancy requirements.

And they don't appear to be lacking for attractive candidates.

These young ladies don't just wake up one day and start pageanting as a lark. They know the rules, and tend to live their lives accordingly. Most have entered and won dozens of pageants before they hit the big pageants.

I know one exception, but that's about it.
