    "Quiet" muzzle brakes?

    I see them advertised from time to time. Gentry Custom as an example. Do they work? Are they quieter? What say you?
    I have an injured rotator cuff...

    Only quiet muzzle break I know of is a suppressor. Some are quieter than others, but none are quiet. The most effective is the little bastard and big bastard offered by APA. Effective translates into very loud though.

    They are all loud no matter how you cut it.

    Thats why I stick with cans.

    I just noticed your location. We run matches every month in Houston, MO (45 min south of Rolla). If you want to try mine out you're welcome to at a match. You'll get a chance to hear just how quiet muzzle breaks are too!
