So why is the MK18 a 10.5" and not a 11.5"? Im also thinking about another 11.5 build later. The reason I did it was even 1" makes a difference in the overall rifla package. I wanted something abit more concealable and to be honest Ilike the looks of the 10.5 better. I also did it cause it will be strait up fun in full auto. As I said, I ask and like the responces but in the end I need to find out for my self.....

There was a reason before better extractor springs or O rings or heavy buffers were used. All carbines were less reliable than a 20" rifle by a pretty big margin back then.
Crane found no significant difference in reliability or service life of the MK18 vs M4.
I'd say the inch may make a difference if you have a silencer on there, other than that it's probably not worth changing.

Varmint hunting with a suppressed SBR? Guess I'm not that crazy after all. You might notice that inch more getting in and out of a vehicle a lot. You shouldn't have any problem with a 10.5" running if you get a decent quality barrel and use the appropriate buffer and extractor upgrade.
I'm familiar with a company with that name but don't personally know him.
