Decent CAR Stock for Lightweight Build?

Does anyone have a source for a decent, true CAR stock? I'm trying to shave those last few ounces off of my lightweight build.

    Thank You

    Here you go:

It's the same as Colt's USGI stock. You could also remove the bottom sling-attachment point to shave off an extra ounce or so. All you need is a screwdriver, pretty straightforward stuff.

Yep. The Colt "N 1" stock is about as minimalist as you can go.

They have the manufacturer of this listed as Leapers. There stuff is generally crap, but do you think they could mess up a CAR stock? I wouldn't be using their tube or buffer or anything, just the stock.

    Thanks

Find a genuine Colt N1 stock or a Stag/CMT clone (95 percent the same).

Don't get a junky airsoft quality leapers, CAI, UTG, ect.

You can find just the complete stock body for 50-75 if you look. I have one but not selling. I wish they still made them as for a general stock they work really well, and are extremely light weight compared to everything else. The reason why I say don't go cheap is because Colt uses an actual polymer in their stocks and grips. If you compare a generic A2 grip to a Colt A2 grip the generic feels like Lego plastic. The Colts, made not of cheap plastic, almost have a rubbery feel to them. They are much better products, don't have huge seam lines, dont use pot metal hardware, ect.

Ah, I obviously misread the original post.

Is there a noticeable difference in weight between the aforementioned stock and a standard USGI collapsible stock, or would you need a scale to determine the difference?

6.8 ounces for the current M4 stock vs. 4.6 ounces for the old version.

rob_s has kindly posted the numbers, but anecdotally, I can tell a difference just holding them. I could also still tell a difference when it was actually mounted on the gun. I had a genuine Colt N1 on a 6520 that I had and stupidly let it go with the gun, instead of switching it out for one of the many M4 stocks I have laying around.

I just bought this one since it specifies its a Fiberlite and a milspec RE. The milspec RE is a little lighter than a commercial one.

its shipped but isnt here yet so no comment on quality
