Yes Rob the press is just to loosen the pins. Once they're loose they tap out almost effortlessly.

I recently bought a 1 ton Arbor press which should work well for all tapers pins (maybe even Stag/CMT and S&W). I haven't mounted it to the table yet and I need to fabricate a pusher pin and relieve screw/pin (to push to) and I want to make a 3mm cup punch/pin head too for SIG pins instead of having to whack them (makes for nice clean even pins in dual roll pin SIG slides too).

I wouldn't mind getting a bigger press and a nice drill press (for pinning gas blocks) at some point but we don't have the room in our shop.

    Randall,

In my box of parts, I have a postban Bushmaster Superlight barrel that you threaded for me a couple of years ago. It was probably pre Vice fixture, but you were only able to remove one FSB pin. I've tried everything, including an arbor and the second pin will not budge.

What is the final solution for a stuck FSB pin? Drill it out? That is the only solution I can think of.......................

I have not found a pin that my Kurt vise will not remove yet.
I have had to re-make the pusher pin a few times when they break, but eventually, they all come out.

Before I made the pusher, I did have to drill out a few of them.
