The best "grip" video/explanation I have ever seen was a couple years ago on a website named springerprecision. There was a very good demonstration of just how much of the recoil is delt with by using the off hand properly.
Just FYI this was done by a USPSA type shooter not a tactical type if that difference in background is a big deal to some.
You can never make anyting idiot-proof, whenever you get close they just build a better idiot.
