Pretty cool to watch, I wonder if there is anyone faster now...

Would like to see the two shots done with high speed video.
Wonder what happened to him? ...someone shoot him in the back?
.
Munden is still alive and kicking and shooting for Impossible Shots frequently now...and as Cocky as ever.

The trick shot guys can do some amazing things with their particular trick. Basically they pick one particular shoot and they practice it over and over again. In the double shot, a lot of cowboy shooters will set up their targets at exact pre-measured positions so that it isn't so much of a skill set, as a muscle memory shoot. You'll see in the video how Munden has worked on timing hammer fall and recocking for the next shot. His left hand is already making the move to recock just as the hammer falls for the first shot. I knew one cowboy shooter who was almost as fast as Munden, and he was incredible with his tricks. However, when it came down to doing regular shoots with less predictability he was just your average shooter. Reason being, he was no longer doing the focused muscle memory skill for the particular trick.
Wild Bill was also an impressive trick shot. However, he has said that when it came down to actual deadly force he never did those tricks or used two pistols at once. He got his stance and/or cover, purposely drew one pistol and cocked the hammer, and took carefully aimed shots.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"

I have been watching Mr. Munden for about 35 years when I first saw him as a kid. He was definitely a big influence in my interest in shooting.
From a pure reaction time and movement, Mr. Munden is the man. Anyone could practice his trick shots for a lifetime and not come anywhere near what he can do. He is a damn good shooter and a very interesting character to say the least. I like the guy and his character / personna. Keep on going Bob!![]()
