20 round MOLLE Pouch for M4 mags

Does anyone know of a good maker of 20-round mag pouches, seems all I find is 30. I was thinking of having some 20 rounders on hand for prone shooting and needed a way to keep 'em on my chest rig.

Diamondback Tactical makes a short cut mag pouch. I knows its intended to be used with 30's, but it may be short enough to accomodate a 20 and still be able to retrieve it easily.

I just slip a Magpul on my 20-rounder, slip it in a single 30-round pouch, and rock on.

My department only gives me 50 "official" rounds, so I put 30 of them in my only HK mag and 18 in a GI 20-rounder. The little mag goes in a pouch on the off-side of the stock. Looks funky, but that way, I pick up 48 reliable rounds along with the carbine. The other two are back in the rifle case.

Well ... don't tell the patrol captain ... also in the rifle case are a few mags of M193 and even one filled with Black Hills 77 match rounds.

But now that you mention it, a more efficient 20-round pouch might be in order.

Spec Ops Brand makes a 40mm pouch (holds 3 rounds) that will also hold 3 straight 20 round M16 magazines (not at the same time with the grenades). It takes up 5 or 6 PALS channels, though.

Tactical Tailor's Strobe Pouch holds 1 20 round M16 magazine perfectly, and is only 2 channels wide.

Another option is an Eagle M16 FB MOLLE pouch (the open topped one) which will hold one. I recommend using a ranger plate if using a curved 20rd mag.

    20rd Pouch

Hey BFB why dont you give this idea a try I have used eagle Single Smoke Grenade Pouch (SGC-1-MS) Khaki = 8415-01-519-5238 you can put 2-20RD mags in each one I promise , it's good to go if you use ranger plates the lid will close no problem. if you use the standard mag pull it will close but you just dont have that much hook /pile retention tape to secure the lid all the way. good luck, TREE FROG
