So those are examples of whatever it is that kicks it out of the tube (Compressed air maybe? Anyone know for sure?) working and then the main rocket motor failing to ignite right? Kinda scary I bet!

I hope that is not common for such an expensive missile...

There would be a certain pucker factor there for sure.
"Don't run". Don't know that I could help it.

The Aussie helmet cam link is really good as well.

I was a Javelin gunner during the invasion in 03. But being in a mech unit with Brads and Abrams, I never even hooked up a missile.

I wonder if the missile company sends a refund to the Treasury Department?

My cousin's husband shot himself down with a Sidewinder. Launched the missile. The motor quit. He passed the missile. The motor re-ignited and went right up his pipe.

What is the unit weight of the missile and tube combo? Would kinda tick you off if you carried it for a long time and then it fizzled like that when you went to employ it!

The more things change. Back in the dinosaur days the Dragon (predecessor to the Javelin) would do some of the same stuff.
