What does it take to get through to these people? They've already set up an attempt to ignore the Nov. 2 results - on both sides. Pelosi will be in the leadership of the minority and Repubs are backing off on cutting spending.

I fear the same thing, nothing will change much if at all. These idiots will drive us into full-on bankruptsy I'm afraid. Massive inflation will follow - to the point that even if you have a job you'll barely be able to afford anything but feed your family when milk is $75 a gallon and a loaf of bread is $25. You'll have to let the house payment go, let bills go, etc. Give it a day or two and you'll have rioting and looting in the streets from coast to coast.

It's sickening. The fact of the matter is; dems and repubs are the same damn unified party fighting us citizens. Winning by a large margin at the moment as well. They literally intend to bankrupt us, go into debt so deep no one will lend to us; that is the plan they've had for quite a while now; just take a close look. How else can one explain the political/social/economical moves we make?

Well, sadly, nothing short of direct violent rebellion. Governments usurp until someone forces them to stop; it really is that plain and simple. Just look at the history books. Not one governemnt has said "Ahh schucks, we're getting to big and powerful, our people are not very happy, lets give them back the power and limit ourselves..." it is complettely unheard of.

We the people have been outright ignored, lied to, taxed through backdoor mechanisms and our soverignty has been systematically sold off bit by bit at the behest of our "representatives" for the last 100 years+.

I suspect a pattern of firing people until they do what we want will bring about favorable results.

The problem with this is that it requires more action from We The People. I'm unhappy about spending, but I haven't written anyone about it. I called my representative about ObamaCare, but I haven't called him about spending. If everyone like me actually got up and started calling and writing, something might happen. If we started firing people who ignored us, something probably would happen. Just because it hasn't happened before doesn't mean it can't happen in the future.

Edit: The sad fact is that votes do seem to have a dollar value. It seems possible to buy votes with government spending, or at least lose votes if you cut spending. There aren't enough dollars around to keep everyone in office, or to keep promising the stars. Our debt just isn't a priority to a sizable portion of Americans as long as they get their share of the pie, and until it is, I don't think there will be a change.

we need a new party that needs to ride in and is conservative and listens to the people let them infiltrate the parties like the progressives and destroy it from within !!!!

the tough thing about voting them out is it takes to long for the damage to be done ! its like a busted pipe in your house and the plumber says OK next month I can get out ! to much damage can happen between now and then
