Gen 4 Glock failure to feed issues

I purchased a new gen 4 Glock 19 and it had around 10 failures to feed in the first 500 rounds. The ammo was mixed Federal 115 gr and Winchester 147gr ball and Pro Load 115 ball. I had 3 of the failures within 2 mags of the WW147 gr stuff. The mags were one new gen 4 mag and two of my older practice mags, but I had at least one failure with each mag.
The failure looked like this. I did find a slight burr around the firing pin hole so I stoned it off.

I called Glock and was shipped a 0-4 recoil spring. One thing I noticed was that my G19 tossed the brass 15' with the issue spring and only 6-8' with the new lighter spring. Which confuses me but what the heck I'm easily confused.

The next range session resulted with one FTF out of 200 rounds of WW 147 ball. I then switched to all new gen 4 mags and fired 300 more rounds of the 147 WW ball with no issues. I thought this was pretty interesting as I do not recall any FTFs in my other two G19 with 10 of thousands of rounds through them. The combination of the new spring and some new mags seemed to fix my problem. I will fire at least 300 rounds today before I pronounce it cured.
I like the Gen 4 Glock, and I like my new Hack nights sights and I really my Crimson Trace laser guards

Keep us posted on this, I have a gen4 G22, no issues with stock mags or the recoil spring system. I am using win & fed 40 JHP.

I would call that malfunction a failure to eject. The new round was going in, but the old case is blocking the function.

Just curious whether you have the issues with the CT Laser Guard alrady installed. I had issues with my G4 17 when my Viridian C5 wasn't secured to the rail.

No issues at all. I have four pistols with the same Crimson trace setup.

I shot 400 rounds of WW 147 FMJs through the Glock 19 yesterday. No issues until the last mag when I had a failure to eject with the empty case stuck under the extractor backward (case mouth not the rim was under the extractor)

I also had a couple failure to ejects on my new Glock 19

The first one was the second round I ever fired out of the gun. The second just happened randomly during the next 200 rounds of draw & fire practice. This was firing Brown Bear.

I hadn't removed the copper or lubed the gun (as I understood it was not necessary in older models). I also have a X300 attached to the rail.

Maybe the newer models with tougher spring require a "break-in" period?

I'm not sure what its called, but the thin metal piece protruding from the polymer frame towards the magazine (does it push the rounds out?).

Anyway, I had during a FTE the casing also flip around, and the mouth get caught so it around that piece. I couldn't clear it with just a rack & tap and had to eject the magazine and flick it off. Weirdest FTE I've seen so far.

I got a recoil spring adapter so I am going to run a factory Gen 3 recoil spring for 500- 1000 rounds and see if that solves my problem.

I another couple of FTF and a failure to extract
I installed the guide rod adapter and a new Gen 3 recoil spring last night and headed to the range. I fired 600 rounds of misc ball and a mag of carry ammo with out an issue.
The pistol actually feels better. So I think the new double spring system is just too heavy for the 9mm Glock
I shot strong hand and weak hand trying to make it. Fail but it just ticked along like the rest of my Glocks

    Mike-
Glock has released a new spring for the gen4 19 with an "04" stamped on it. Does your recoil spring have the "04" stamp or the first run "03" stam? While I have no experience with the newer spring, it may help the 19 run better...
