When I posted this, I didn't realize this was listed in a classifieds type ad that Bud's sponsors. I thought the weapon was part of Bud's inventory.

    My mistake

Informing him via e-mail was good. (I've done that for members here)

    Posting it here is either:
A: "look what I found, those stupid rubes"

B: "I such a well trained caged animal that I inform my masters of any other caged animals transgressions." Because you better believe the ATF follows this board.

The ATFs rulings and clarifications are the most inconsistent things I've ever seen. A machinegun is always a machinegun but an SBR isn't....

Not fair to hang that one on the BATFE, that stems from the wording of the original legislation. Blame the folks who passed those laws not the folks who interpret what they actually passed.

Very true. They pass the laws but don't have to decide what they mean. FWIW I think all laws should have a sunset. Especially since the law makers don't even read they laws that they pass.

They are clearly offering up an AOW pistol with a stock on it. They say the buttplate is removable so you can add a SLIDING stock.

It looks like it comes with the folding stock. Their description makes it seem as though they think the sliding stock would make it an SBR but not the folding stock.

Maybe they put up the wrong picture? They meant to put up a picture of a pistol with a flat butt plate?

Don't worry Mr. Agent, I, uh, photoshopped that picture.
If you aren't armed when you take a dump in your own home then your opinion on what is a practical daily carry weapon isn't interesting to me.

For shits and giggles I contacted the seller. I assume based on some info I read he has some type of SOT license. He basically told me that he knows the laws, etc...etc...

He stated that the picture represents what it could look like and that is why he mentioned NFA laws. IMHO he did a terrible job of articulating that in his article and my guess is that he posted that pic and was vague about it so he could sell it to someone less educated.
