10-X shooting jacket???? Pics in post

So a few years ago a buddy of mine who sells nothing but military gear at the flea market that i go to every weekend gave me this jacket he said he was just going to throw it away so he gave it to me. Its for a left handed shooter so i never used it and it just went into my closet. I was cleaning it out today and came back across it and i have no idea about any thing about it? Has any one used them? Does any one used them are they a good shooting jacket? its in perfect condition pads arnt even worn, by the looks of it, its never been used. How much do they go for? Will probley be putting it up on the Equipment exchange for a trade since i wont be using it and i would like to know what exactly i should be looking for. Any info would be great because i know nothing about these. And its nice to see a product made in the USA.

Looks like something that would be issued to snipers or some other specialized unit; certainly not a general issue item. Arr you sure it is U.S. military & not some overseas army?

Im not sure of any thing, i know nothing of these and im just going by what my father has told me too, (Marine also, in before Vietnam) but from what i can gather its for the best shooters i found that newer ones go for 200 dollars but those didnt come in OD, i dont even know if its ever been issued but its made in the USA and i seen a few older pics of some marines and army shooting with them but the shoulder pad was leather from what i can tell. I put it up in the exchange i have no use for it so just looking for a B.A.D lever, rather see some one else use it because i wont. But any info any one has please let me know because i cant find any thing on the company.

I don't know anything about it but it looks like a competitive shooting or shotgunner jacket. Especially with that tag.

It looks like the shooting jackets we had in high school. 10-X used to make shooting accessories years ago, not sure if they still do. I'm not sure but I sort of doubt it is military. However that's simply my opinion.

My college rifle team wore jackets similar to the one the OP has pictured above. Ours were heavy leather and nylon with belts and synches to tighten certain areas. They were particularly useful for shooting from standing or kneeling positions. More of a hindrance in the prone. Nice find!

NRA High-Power Shooting jacket? That and a good leather sling is a good introduction to bondage.

It's a High Power Shooting jacket for a left handed shooter. Note the elbow pad for the strong side and the cuff pad for the off hand "sling arm". It looks like an entry level basic jacket.
So, you would need a High Power shooter that's left handed and in that size. You may try to contact a local club or Appleseed and look into donating it.

That aint no shit. We used to call the Leather slings "Leather Death Traps" cause it was easy to get them on, but from there on out, you were trapped, and the more you struggled, the more it cut off circulation to your arm haha.

What you have there is a shooting jacket for NRA/CMP Highpower and Small Bore matches. In those shooting sports you want to be "reigned in" and basically be stiff as a board.
