    It predates the Colt 703.
The AR18 had so much potential.

I'm surprised Armalite never got around to introducing a proper AR18 clone, or an improved version with a forged upper and lower and 16" barrel

Armalite doesn't even want to make an AR10 lower that take $15 pmags, they won't make AR10B handguards which the retro guys purchase so often that they've done additional runs and sold out quickly, despite the fact they havent made an AR10B in years.

An AR180 with an aluminum lower and some picatinny on top would be badass.

Like with Colt, from our lips to their tin ear.

    Cool

    Classic ordnance!

This visuals SORTA speak for themselves; any range reports on wear & tear over the decades - how finicky it is with ammo - is it prone to vertical stringing, etc.?

Great to see such a classic still around!

I actually bought a Rhino back in the day. It really never worked properly, did yours? The springs would collapse, and the screws holding the bolt carrier key kept sheering off. I sent it back I think once, but it was never right.

I have been looking at SP1's on GB and came across this tonight. I just happened to stumble on this thread about the same time.

It looks like a Rhino except it has an extra tube screwed onto the gas block. I don't know if that was a Rhino factory mod or some other company got in on the action.

Yea, you're right, I see it now. Possibly a mod to the Rhino or close copy of it, though I really can't see anybody spending the time and resources to make a modified copy.
