D'oh, thought Rocksett counted as welded.

If you don't want to pin/weld a 14.5" barrel but want the same overall length with a can you can get a 16" barrel, and run a reflex mount with the reflex can.

That way you only pay the tax on one item not 2.

I was under the impression that Rocksett was legal, as it takes a temperature greater than 1100 degrees to break loose.

Not that have seen. If you have a link to an ATF notification, I am all ears.

Upon further inspection silver solder is the minimum, but a well thought out pin doesnt seem terrible.

It's also water soluble from what I've heard Surefire personnel say.

Will this work on a MK18 type setup? A 10.3 barrel with the MK18 rail?

Anyone put one on a S&W M&P15? I'm wondering what shims anybody else used. I just used black and blue with rockset tonight. Long story short, I had my original setup back off during a course of fire. I hear Rockset has a melting point of 1100 F, well I guess I reached that during my range time ( I run my guns hard). Apparently I used the wrong shims originally and I noticed the notch in my brake was off BDC after the range. I loosened the brake by hand and had to go back to the workshop.

I've been trying to figure this out for awhile and was wondering if I needed a new barrel or rail to run a can on my SBR.

I have a 10.5" LMT barrel with a 10" DD Lite rail, so there is very little room for a can.

How much clearance will I need with this brake to get a FA556-212 or the Mini on?

I don't see this brake listed on Surefire's or your site yet Grant.
