Not worth it in my opinion, but to each his own.
Kein Mitleid Für Die Mehrheit
What Happened to the American dream? It came true. You're looking at it.
I'd like to point out that you need to be careful with that statement if you want cool points from the internet commandos! I posted pics on here of my registered SBR with ACOG, Peq-15, and Surefire with a 14.5" BCM upper and G&R LPK from the selector switch side and everyone saw the Snake logo and said I was an idiot for putting a $3000 laser on a Bushmaster.

And 70's rust colored carpeting.
The only Magpul lower Im interested in is the C doll.
Great marketing for magpul, too. If these little beatnik companies can put out their own lowers magpul sure as **** can.
Not for commercial sale but seemingly were able to show up on noveske guns.
When these stupid lowers first showed up I made the obvious observation, see if you can come to the same logical conclusion...
Privat label deals are a fact of life and happen in every industry, the firearms industry is no exception. So to whoever buys this, congratulations for be the ultimate fan-boy. You paid way to much for something you can get for $300. I know it's heresy to illude that the magical magpul lowers are nothing more than a POF with some cosmetic tweaks, so lay on the hate. I bet the Magpul lowers are great, because the POF lowers are pretty good, that's why I've got four of them... I sure do find it amazing what a little marketing stunt will do to people.
Oh yea, this is my first post on M4carbine! Sorry it wan't friendlier, this was just the first topic that I stumbled across and felt compeled to comment on.

Maybe someday unicorns will crap marshmallows, and that will be the day the MPLA lower is worth what people are paying for it.
Seriously, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic? If you're not, could you please explain what makes the Magpul lower any better than the numerous other premium lowers on the market, besides the logo engraved on the side? What are it's distinguishing features, besides the ambi bolt release, which looks a hell of a lot like a POF kit. I can not prove it's a re-worked POF lower; though it's hard to ignore that the machining inside the cavity for the ambi bolt release is identical on both... Can you provide any quantifiable evidence that they're not related?
I'm not trying to argue with anyone, I just can't believe that no one else notices the blairingly obvious similarities? Magpul makes good stuff, I'm not questioning that; I actually like most of what they make. I've simply never been very good at following blindly, so I'll likely never understand the appeal to these lowers; someone please enlighten me. Lastly, what's wrong with a little hate, this is the internet, that's all it's good for! Or is it only ok to hate where fashionable, like hating piston AR's. Because if Magpul is off limits I need to know before I offend the fanboy gods.

Every year one or two of these go up for auction as a complete rifle for charity benefit. The last one sold for around $5,000 with a KAC SR15 upper, UBR, full load out of PMAGs, Magpul Dynamics DVDs, and a few other items...I forget the details. Had that rifle been for sale on a forum such as this, I think the selling price would have been a bit more...if I can manage it, I'll see if I can make an advance posting about the next China Doll to go up for charity auction.
