China Doll = MPL C lower, or the rarest of the lot. These are usually given only to close industry allies or those who have done something to rate special consideration from Magpul. So named because of the special engraving on every MPL C, which features a cartoon image of a Chinese girl flashing an offending digit alongside a dialogue box which contains the usual receiver/manufacturer/SN information. I presume there is a fairly colorful story that goes with this particular choice, but am not privy to the details.

and here you are STILL whining about it and STILL missing the actual point of the discussion.

For those of us without either, can you compare the differences between your Magpul lower and your POF?

I strongly considered buying one of the Noveskes for no other reason. Even had it in my "shopping cart" on their site. I knew the prices would go nuts on the lowers later on.

Had that rifle been for sale on a forum such as this, I think the selling price would have been a bit more...if I can manage it, I'll see if I can make an advance posting about the next China Doll to go up for charity auction.

Cool. Considering the KAC/Magpul SR15 coming out is a bit over 3k that wouldn't be too bad. I think Ive seen maybe 4 or so C-Dolls posted online ever.

The point being that some fan boys offered $3,000 for a POF lower with different roll marks for "collector value"?? I thought this thread was pretty humerous until I saw that people were actually serious about buying one of these...

The fact that you paid 3000 dollars for a peq15 says more about your purchase then anything else.

Next time I'll be sure to pay the same amount for an item with no more functional value than a $300 Noveske lower. But we are getting off topic. This thread is about collectors buying Magpul lowers.
